Here you have 20 brushes for Procreate that I draw with all the time.
I created this set with a thought that it should have the most basic brushes needed to create everything you want, for both beginners and pros. You can create with them from super realistic paintings to interesting illustrations and light sketches. Each brush is multifunctional and can be useful for a variety of different styles and effects.
The set includes:
1. Liner - This is the brush that I use the most when painting realistically! With this brush I draw all the small details - eyelashes, eyebrows, small hairs, beauty marks, skin blemishes and fur. It’s great for sketches and outline work and you can even paint with it large surfaces when you enlarge the size of the brush.
2. Pencil - or should I say, ‘the Perfect Pencil’. One of my favorite brushes for sketching, drawing, outlining, coloring and adding cool texture.
3. Paint - Classic brush for general coloring, blending colors and transitions. It is smooth but can still create a nice texture by playing with the opacity and paint with strokes.
4. Noisy Paint - One of my favorite brushes when I want to draw with a lot of texture and depth. Great for coloring and creating color transitions with noisy texture.
5. Pastel – Like the ‘Noisy Paint’ but softer. When you want the same textured effect but softer and gentle.
6. Sketch – This brush I like to use for illustrations that look more digital. It has a unique shape and it’s great for sketching and coloring.
7. Ink - Classic ink brush with the smoothest flow! Great for professional outline, calligraphy, drawing cool hair and even coloring.
8. Textured Ink - Similar to the ‘Ink’ brush but with a cool texture.
9. Classic Pen - This is a classic brush without too many effects. I personally use it when I want a precise brush that is easy to control for outlining and coloring large surfaces.
10. Crayon Pen – a pen brush with a fun texture effect. I like to use it when I want to make an interesting outline or coloring large surfaces.
11. Watercolor - The coolest watercolor brush I've tried! I searched for a long time for an interesting watercolor brush for procreate, until I decided to do one myself and I managed to create one that I’m proud of and so excited about! I wanted it to have similar effect of a real watercolor paint and it has! It behaves just like a running watercolor paint and the colors mix and blend together beautifully. I like to use it for painting surfaces and especially for backgrounds with a nice effect.
12. Hair - The only hair brush I use. It has a realistic hair effect and it’s very easy to control. I like to paint with it the base and large mass of the hair in my characters and then I complete the hair details with the ‘Liner’ brush and draw more specific and smaller hairs.
13. Lines - I personally use it to create line texture in some of my paintings and to paint fur when I draw animals. It can also be used for hair and eyebrows.
14. Soft Noise - Noise is the texture I like to add to my paintings. It is also excellent for creating skin texture.
15. Skin Texture - A brush for creating a realistic skin looking texture. It’s easy-to-control and gives a soft, pleasant texture to the skin.
16. Freckles - Realistic and soft freckle brush that is easy to use and control. It can also be used as a dots texture brush.
The next three brushes are brushes that everyone must have in their brush collection:
17. Lightening - A brush that brightens areas you want.
18. Darkening - A brush that darkens areas you want.
19. Toning colors - With this brush you can control the tone and saturation of the colors.
20. For blending – a blender brush for the finger tool. Blending the colors and adds lite texture.
